Six high payment gaming machines have been seized from two unlicensed premises in Hull, UK.

Hull City Council working in partnership with Humberside Police and HMRC seized the machines from Café Anatolia and another café located in the city after receiving intelligence information.

It was found that these premises were operating gaming machines that were not in accordance with an authorisation under the Gambling Act 2005.

All six machines were only authorised to be in licensed snooker clubs, members clubs and other gambling establishments such as licensed betting shops, amusement arcades and casinos.

Keith Fenner, Hull City Council's licensing manager, said the operation sends out a clear message that illegal gambling activity is unacceptable. "Gaming machines that are on premises without authorisation, will ultimately result in seizure, destruction and prosecution of offenders,” he said.
