The winners of the coveted Brass Ring Awards at this week's IAAPA in Orlando, Florida, were announced on Wednesday, with ICE winning the Image Award in the section for coin machines and the big prizes for booths being won by WhiteWater West and Polin Waterparks.

The top FEC is Jake’s Unlimited in Mesa, Arizona, US. Another notable award was to Europa-Park Factory Shop in Germany, for the Best Store Visual Merchandising. The Best Employee Reward and Recognition Program for smaller parks went to Skånes Djurpark Resort in Sweden. The same location won the Best Innovation in a Training Program. In the same category but for larger venues, the winner was Hersheypark in Pennsylvania, US.

The awards, that recognise parks, zoos, aquariums, museums, FECs and suppliers are sought after by the attractions industry.

The Live Entertainment Excellence section saw SeaWorld in San Diego, US, win for the Best Atmosphere and Busch Gardens in Florida took the award for Best Performer. The Best Live Edutainment Show award went to Chimelong Ocean Kingdom in China and Best Theatrical Production was won by Leolandia in Italy.

Disney in the US won the prize for the same theatrical section but for laber parks. Herseypark won the Most Creative Christmas Show and Ocean Park in Hong Kong was voted the Most Creative Halloween Haunt. The Most Creative Multimedia Spectacular was Disney in Tokyo.

Australia got among the awards with the Most Creative Property-wide Event for smaller parks at Luna Park in Sydney and in the same category for larger parks Ocean Park in Hong Kong won its second award.

Europa-Park in Germany got another award, this time the Spirit Award for the most outstanding person who works ‘behind the scenes’ – Ulrich Grawunder.

Skånes Djurpark in Sweden was among the awards again, for the Best digital Marketing Campaign, followed by another for the Best Social Media Campaign;  and Ocean Park in Hong Kong came up with award number three for the Best Integrated Marketing Campaign.
