The world’s largest trade show for the amusement industry opens its doors at the Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, Florida, US, today.

IAAPA

The IAAPA show is a broadly-based amusement event, with a particular focus on theme parks, but it has a very strong coin machine and attractions content.

That section alone is larger than any other amusement trade show for the games industry in the world and as many as 30,000 visitors from over 100 countries are in Orlando for the event’s several miles of aisles and thousands of products.

Everything from the latest branded and licensed fluffy toys for merchandise prizes in redemption games up to the world’s first car-less roller coaster are featured this year. Together with them will come a full range of products for amusement parks and family entertainment centres and games for single sites down to pubs and truck stops.

Video games, kiddie rides, air hockeys, redemption machines, midway games, pinball, pool and football tables, plus bowling, zip wires, climbing walls, soft play, laser tag, motion theatres, food and beverage and a host of support services comprise the global amusement industry’s most must-go event.

InterGame has a team in Orlando and the pick of the news and products will appear in this column over the next few days and in our December and January issues of InterGame and the new year edition of InterFun.
