UK manufacturer Instance Automatics has reported impressive income figures from its Hook the Duck conversion on Skill Ball Bingo.

Managing director Ian Eason told InterGame he now has the first four weeks’ income figures from sites across the board and takings have been very encouraging.

When a duck comes into view if the number on it corresponds with a number on the grid on screen the player must press the ‘Hook It’ button or ‘Chuck It’ button to discard. The kit contains a new CPU unit that is not PC-based as well as new artwork and new Perspex.

Martyn Wonacott of Grand Casino in Penzance commented: "We are extremely impressed with the kit and the quality of the game. The fitting of the kit was really easy, the finished machine looks great and the takings have been very impressive - customer feedback has also been very good."

Steve Vardy of Skegness Pier also commented: "We are very surprised with the income. We didn’t really expect it would be as good as it is, it has performed strongly every week and I am sure we will have more machines converted."

Instance Automatics is now going into full production with the kits and also has some rebuild machines available.
