The Kai Tak Sports Park, a giant sports and entertainment precinct being built in Hong Kong, will take an extra year for completion.
The venue is now set to open in late 2024, as the anchor of the project, a 50,000-seat stadium and its adjoining 10,000-seat sports arena, have fallen behind completion times.
A shortage of construction materials and of labour has been blamed for the delays to the project.
Apart from the sports venues, the park will have open areas, kids’ play areas, a bowling centre and other entertainment.
