Hologate has revealed details of its latest product, Hologate Blitz, a motion simulator platform for a host of new VR content.

Blitz

Following the success of its Arena, the German VR expert has developed Blitz to offer multiplayer flying and racing for two to eight players to “fully immerse themselves in magical worlds filled with fire-breathing dragons, epic space battles and futuristic racers,” with the company promising that its description is merely a glimpse into the possibilities the platform will offer.

Designed to be an anchor attraction, Hologate promises that the Blitz will offer a motion sickness-free experience due to its extremely low latency and network and code design. It will be able to move almost a full metre in height and can tilt 30 degrees in every direction to enhance player immersion. Additionally, the futuristically-styled steering wheel can be switched from one-axis to two-axis control, offering players a wider range of game options. More information will be available on Hologate’s stand 4132 at IAAPA Expo Europe from September 17-19, where pre-orders will be taken. The Blitz will be officially unveiled at IAAPA Expo in Orlando in November.

Itself a new game, The Angry Birds Movie 2 Prank Attack VR will be available for visitors to experience in Paris, too.

The game acts as a precursor to the events in the movie, where players will take part in an ever-escalating prank war between the flightless birds and scheming Bad Piggies.

Up to four players can immerse themselves in a first-person VR world, where the player must defend Bird Island using a giant slingshot.
