Location-based virtual reality specialist Hologate has formed a new partnership with smart tech UVC cleaning solution Cleanbox.

Hologate

The deal follows Munich-based Hologate, which has sold its proprietary VR systems throughout 35 countries across the globe and passed the five million player milestone in just over two years, developing hygiene and safety standards with the intention of bringing a uniformed process to the location-based VR entertainment industry.

The Hologate Hygiene and Safety Standards provide instructions for standard and advanced cleaning methods, its recommended hygiene supplies and tips for creating customer peace of mind.

As part of the advanced cleaning method, the company announced the partnership with Cleanbox, the manufacturer of premium, eco-friendly, medical grade, ultraviolet-C cleaning equipment.

Hologate says it recommends incorporating medical-grade UVC sanitisation for an added line of defence against various viruses, bacteria, and fungi.
