The new giant FEC in Bowie, Maryland, close to the US capital, Washington, will have a Hologate Arena system installed.

Creative Works, specialist attractions supplier, is taking a battle-themed laser tag and the VR system to the new venue, to be named Party HQ. It is located about 12 miles north of the capital.

The new attractions will act as anchors to the entertainment on offer, said owner Rodney Chambers and his team selecting the new attractions from Creative Works.

“We learned about Creative Works through the Amusement 360 event in July,” said Chambers. “We learned what to do and how to do it; visiting different laser tag arenas that really helped us.”

Creative Works’ consultant Athena Symonds added: “360 gave myself and the team a one-to-one opportunity to bring the right people together to plan this project with Rodney and his people.”

The laser tag uses a custom "Urban Battle for DC" theme, offering something unique with familiar sights such as the White House, Washington Monument and Pentagon. The bases used are interactive metro trains. A feature is a large Air Force One prop that hangs from the ceiling and have interactive targets.

Party HQ also has bowling, 50 arcade games and a restaurant and bar and should be open before the end of this month.
