QubicaAMF's Highway 66 mini-bowling has been installed on MSC Cruises' new flagship MSC Splendida and signals the first installation of its type for the manufacturer.
The MSC Splendida has two lanes of Highway 66 installed in its Sports Bar and has, according to an MSC representative, become one of the most entertaining facilities on board. The unit accommodates up to 10 players at one time, no special bowling shoes are required and the balls used are smaller than traditional bowling balls.
Gian Anestis, amusement sales director for QubicaAMF, commented: "Highway 66 is a perfect fit for a cruise ship. The product was designed for facilities that want to offer bowling but don’t have the space that traditional bowling requires. It takes about 40 per cent less space and is virtually maintenance-free."
