A new four-player LBVR platform, Hero Zone, is debuting at IAAPA Expo Europe.

Hero Zone VR

A tether-free attraction, it is powered by “industry-first” mobile hardware that includes “inside-out” movement tracking, Hero Zone eliminates the need for a high-end gaming PC dedicated to each player, which the manufacturer says more than halves the ususal upfront cost of such an attraction. The company has also opted not to charge ongoing fees for support or ownership, further raising profitability for owners.

A statement detailing the launch of the product explained that the appeal of Hero Zone is its value and simplicity. It said that, where some products rely on overhead trellis systems or heavy backpacks to manage cabling and simulate free movement, Hero Zone enables the freedom to move about the virtual world.

It continued: “Hero Zone players can tag in and out quickly and easily, hastening the play-through rate of gamers and helping to keep foot traffic moving if a line forms to play. For the consumer, this means quicker action, and for the owner of the Hero Zone platform itself, it means more ticket sales and a faster ROI.”

Hero Zone also champions its portability, with a four-player platform out-of-the-box which occupies a 13.5sq.m footprint leading to a quicker delivery and setup time. The entire system was designed from the ground up to be dismantled and rebuilt in an hour with no training or extra cost required, aiming to make it attractive for singular events such as corporate parties, fairs, fundraisers, weddings or promotions.

Hero Zone is launching with three games focusing on teamplay with something for a wide audience, including survival-horror, fantasy and a retro arcade game. There are also escape room games planned in the near future.

Hero Zone makes its worldwide debut at IAAPA Expo Europe in Paris, France, from September 17-19 on booth 4533.
