The GTI Asia Taipei Expo which opened yesterday for a three-day run in the Taiwanese capital is smaller than last year, according to initial reports.

InterGame is grateful to Michael Green of London’s UDC for the feedback on his visit to the event’s first two days.

Green said that the show remains predominantly gaming-orientated with most of the Taiwanese monitor-based game producers using the event to launch new product. Of amusements there was comparatively little and it was noted that Saint Fun – usually a major exhibitor – opted this year for a private showing in a nearby hotel.

There were very few international visitors to the show and the only Europeans noted by Green, apart from UDC colleague Mark Horwood, were Harry Levy, Gary Newman and Tom Clarke.
