Electric Daisy is a green new entertainment space planned for the city of Derby, offering leisure and wellness opportunities to the local community.

The upcoming space, which is backed by The Eden Project as well as Derby City Council and the University of Derby, is said by Derbyshire Live to be an outdoor space, intended for socialising and quiet time, as well as for entertainment and events such as talks, garden workshops and F&B stalls.
Jamie Quince-Starkey, lead creative force behind the project, told the Local Democracy Reporting Service: “This is such an exciting opportunity for the city of Derby – to do something totally different that has never been seen here before.
"To bring this garden to a place which has been forgotten and regenerate it through nature is massively exciting. There are so many opportunities that can come from this. It’s going to be creative and sustainable."
Speaking to Derbyshire Live, he added: "We are not just developing green space – it is more than that. We’ve got climate change, and it all boils down to our relationship with nature. People will be able to enjoy and utilise this space in many ways.
"For nature-based regeneration to work we have to use this space in multiple ways. It could be for a kids group in the morning or a Tai Chi class for OAPs or a silent disco. It could be a food and drink offering.
"It could be somewhere you engage on an amazing talk and hear about things you didn’t even know about. It could be somewhere you hear live music or somewhere you can come and grab your lunch or do work. This will be a multifunctional space.
"We’ve had so much support from the community already. We just want to make sure we are doing everything we can so people are behind this."
