The German AWP business is going through another adjustment in its regulations for the technical specification of machines.
The latest version, T4, has to be applied to all of the country’s machines by January 1, 2011.
The 240,000 market is currently the most stable in Europe, following the new law which came into effect in 2005. Since then, however, there have been several adjustments - all prefixed with T for technology - and all designed to iron out minor deficiencies in the regulations.
The problem for manufacturers and operators alike is that the fresh demands involve machine updates and changes, all of which are expensive and stretch still further the resources of the industry.
