Theme park and casino group Genting of Malaysia is to delay the opening of its new theme park at Resorts World Genting until next year, as a result of the pandemic.
The famous hillside theme park, set in the central part of Malaysia, will have its resort facilities reopening shortly. But the new park will be delayed.
The news came as the group announced its first quarter results for 2020 which showed a US$10m loss which is almost all down to the virus.
The theme park has been closed since March 2020. The group is best known for its casinos, a chain of which operates throughout the world, in addition to operating online gambling.
