Japanese company Genda, which bought Sega Japan’s operations in 2020, is apparently one of the companies behind the sale of Namco USA’s operations.

Genda is one of three buyers of the Namco USA business, Pac-Man Entertainment, with plans to open a string of FECs after rebranding. It is already in the US market with its purchase of Level 257 in Schaumburg, Illinois, which is being renamed Enterrium and opening this month.

Enterrium will contain a mix of new games and a retro selection. With the addition of F&B, it is one of the new bar-arcade sector venues.

Genda has stated that it now plans to open a chain of FECs across the US.
