Violence in home video games is again being looked at by the American authorities.

President Trump, on a “listening tour” following the Parkland massacre, had a meeting at the White House with lawmakers and home video game publishers to look again at the effect games might be having and whether they are encouraging mass shootings.

Again, nothing firm came out of the meeting and the New York Times noted: “Conservatives have often turned to the idea of video game censorship after mass shootings to steer the discussion away from gun restrictions.”

At the same time, the National Rifle Association has blamed movies and TV.
