The National Media Museum in Bradford has smashed the Guinness world record for the most DS gamers playing simultaneously - with an incredible 659 gamers turning up to beat the previous record by 73 people.
On July 28, gamers of all ages took their hand-held consoles along to the museum to play their favourite games from Mario Kart to Brain Training, in a bid to break the world record.
Colin Philpott, director at the National Media Museum, said: "We are absolutely delighted to be kicking off our summer of fun family activities by breaking this world record and would like to thank everyone who came along to help make it happen.
"We couldn’t have done it without the fantastic support we’ve received from the Bradford Bulls, games expert Charles Cecil, Guinness World Records, Nintendo, Real Radio, our wonderful supervisors and staff and, of course, all the DS gamers. I hope everyone had as much fun as we did."
