More than 1,000 electronic gambling machines have been destroyed in Kajang, Malaysia, as part of a campaign to tackle illegal gaming.
Police destroyed 1,204 machines that had been confiscated from illegal gambling operations between 2011 and 2013, the Malaysia Star reports.
A court ordered the destruction of the equipment. Its seizure had resulted in 89 arrests during the period.
Those found to be operating illegal gambling equipment could face up to six months in prison.
