Australian entertainment company Funlab has confirmed that it was the victim of a ransomware attack.
The Lynx ransomware gang listed the company on its leak site overnight. The group has not shared how much data it breached, but it has posted several screenshots and documents as evidence of a successful hack.
The screenshots reveal folders called payroll, finance and Gsuite backup, among others. The leaked documents include budget spreadsheets and internal communications.
Speaking to cyberdaily.au, a Funlab spokesperson confirmed that the company is investigating a cyber security incident that affected some of its IT systems on the weekend of September 20-22. They also confirmed that all operations were returned to business as usual within 48 hours and that Funlab has engaged with appropriate regulatory authorities.
Funlab operates 40 locations in Australia, New Zealand and the United States. Its brands include Holey Moley mini-golf bars, Strike Bowling and Archie Brothers, among others.
