Funky Town family entertainment centre has opened in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

The location, in a major new shopping mall in the Kazakh capital named A-Port, was designed by Amusement Services International, Prakash Vivekanand’s Dubai-based specialist company. It is equipped with a debit card system supplied by Intercard.

The new location has 150 games, including ticket redemption, pool, air hockey, kiddie rides and novelties and other attractions housed in 3,000 square metres. The Intercard system is a wireless one with iReaders which permit the customers’ photograph to be used for validation purposes.

Funky Town is one of a series of FECs. Rides include nine major pieces and a wealth of coin-op from well-known suppliers such as IE Park, SBF Rides, Sega, Bay-Tek, Namco, Coastal Amusements, Sam Billiards, Fantasy Entertainment and ICE.
