Working in both the FEC and casino industries, UK lighting specialist Ventola Projects, is supplying its new generation of VAvR lighting to US customers through its American distributor Kool Amusements of Las Vegas.

The company has just completed a bowling experience at a new FEC in South Dakota that will include both full-size and mini bowling.
Ventola, with outlets in the UK, US and Middle East, has its South Dakota success at the Thunder Road, a 30,000sq.ft venue in Sioux Falls. The installation incorporates a range of video game elements into the traditional bowling experience. The VAvR range, is a multi-function LED system that can switch from general task lighting to colour-changing mood lighting glow effects. It means that the facility can save money in a tough economic climate by using low power network cable illumination control technology.
Mick Ventola said: “We have used advanced lens technology to allow the system to be hung much higher than previous generations to illuminate two lanes at any one time. It makes the product nearly 50 per cent less costly to supply and install.
Thunder Road opened in February with bowling, bumper cars and a two-storey laser tag venue.
Its general manager Ryan Friez, said: “The lighting system above the bowling lanes and the mini-bowling is just how I envisioned it - and it is impressive.”
Ventola’s lighting systems in recent years have gone into Bally’s Hotel and Casio in Las Vegas and Tricorp Amusements JW Marriott Resort in Florida.
