Rapid expansion is being reported by Pakistan operator Kashif Ali of Fun City, who has a major FEC in Islamabad and who has now opened another location in the Giga Mall in Rawalpindi. Ali reports that his company is at an advanced stage in the design of another new location, this time in Lahore.

Fun City in Pakistan has been a pioneer of the amusement industry in the country. It was the first ‘indoor amusement park’ concept to open its doors in the country. Said Ali: “Consumers in Pakistan have evolved and are just not interested in buying products anymore; they want an experience. At Fun City they expect – and get – a fun-filled experience.”
His company has had considerable influence on the local market, gaining a reputation for introducing the latest trends, technology and techniques. At the Giga Mall the Fun City location has 29,000sq.ft and is located on the second floor of the mall. It is built and operated to the highest European safety standards.
The location has a themed interior design and equipped to provide every aspect for the family from adrenaline-fuelled rides to fun for the smallest member of the family. It has a Mini Dance Party 360 and Top Flip rides for teens and adults only, plus bumper cards and carousels. It has a five-level soft play area, 10 varieties of kiddie rides, a Happy Swing and classic carousel for the youngsters.
The latest arcades, carnival, sports, novelty and redemption games are accompanied by the latest virtual reality releases.
The toddler play facility is staffed by a trained child care team who will look after small children while their parents have coffee and snacks at the nearby café.
“The success of the locations in the ‘twin cities’,” said Ali, “we are expanding nation-wide and the new venue in Lahore will be followed buy others.”
