A roundtable discussion between theme park executives this week at Universal Orlando Resort, with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, led to a suggestion that the state’s theme parks may soon be able to expand their capacity. It also emerged that parks in California are now prepared for opening.

The governor was addressing the roundtable, praising the safety protocols put into place by venues. He also said that the parks in Florida had not been a major source of the Covid-19 spreading in Florida.

Infection rates in Florida have fallen in recent weeks, it was pointed out. Meanwhile the parks in California, noted the representatives of SeaWorld, Universal and Disney, are prepared the moment that they are given permission to reopen.
