Amusement park operator Flamingo Land has submitted an appeal to the Scottish government after its plans for a £40m resort were rejected.

Flamingo Land’s proposals for the shores of Loch Lomond include a waterpark, monorail, hotels and restaurants and were denied for a second time in September.
More than 174,000 signed a petition against the development over issues including increased traffic, impact on local businesses and flood risk.
Scottish Enterprise has extended an exclusivity deal with Flamingo Land for a section of land at the site.
The BBC reports that Dame Jackie Ballie, which has represented the area in which the site resides, has urged Scottish first minister John Swinney to intervene and end the agreement.
