Montreal in Canada saw the opening of a new The Rec Room by operator Cineplex last week. It was the first of the brand to open in Quebec province and is adjacent to a new Cineplex theatre.
Situated in the Royalmount district of the city, The Rec Room is offering gaming, dining, live entertainment and a party destination, plus of course the five-screen Cineplex with VIP facilities.
Ellis Jacob, president and CEO of Cineplex, commented: “As the entertainment leader in Canada, we're proud to have created a one-of-a-kind venue in the province that brings people together to enjoy movies, gaming and live entertainment, alongside food and drinks.
"Our new Cineplex theatre, located directly above The Rec Room Royalmount, will give our guests the freedom to eat, play and watch a movie all under one roof, in this new social playground."
The 50,000sq.ft venue offers 80 amusement games, duckpin bowling, pool tables, AR darts and live entertainment facilities, operated by a newly-recruited 200-strong team.
