The inaugural Asian Electronic Game and Amusement Equipment Expo, held at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre, has been a resounding success.

The event, running from August 21 – 23, was organised by Hong Kong’s ComAsia and China’s Guangdong Entertainment and Game Industry Association. Nearly 50 exhibitors from mainland China and Taiwan showcased their products, which ranged from VR/AR equipment and carnival machines to kiddie rides and arcade games.
“China’s ambitious Belt and Road initiative has been a powerful driver to help promote the business partnerships and trading activities among countries along the B&R,” said director of ComAsia, Peter Cheung.
“Noting the surging demand for family entertainment centres and recreational options, we see great potential for amusement industry players entering the south-east Asia and ASEAN marketplace. Taking place in Thailand as the key sourcing hub in the booming ASEAN economic community, AEGAE EXPO is definitely an exceptional sourcing destination where all attendants will find lots of the hottest and innovative arcade game and amusement machines under one roof.”
A seminar forum was hosted in the afternoon of the first day, where guest speakers were invited to share their experience and market insight.
