An adventure playground in Bristol, UK, has received funding of £70,000 to invest in renovations.

Wild Source: Eastside Community Trust

Provided by Garfield Weston, Bristol City Council CIL and the Clothmakers Guild, the money will go towards the building of a sensory garden, children’s allotment, outdoor classroom, new swing and a rebuild of the main structure.

The additions will be provided by adventure playground company Woodland Tribe, which will begin work in January.

As well as the playground revamp, the outdoor covered space will be increased to ensure it can operate safely with Covid restrictions, and all efforts will be made to ensure the reopening of the kitchen to provide hot food daily.

In addition, the pavement outside the playground will be widened to stop pavement parking and improve access to the nursery and playground.
