International visitors to the Jeddah Season festival will be able to obtain an e-visa within three minutes, says the organiser. Applicants go online initially to the Sharek e-visa website, linking it to ticket purchases for the Jeddah Season programme of events.
Once a ticket is purchased there is an instant e-visa log-in and step-by-step instructions. It is hoped that this fast visa system will encourage tourists to visit Jeddah.
Speeding up visa processing for visitors is part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 project and the Jeddah Season forms part of the tourist attractions element. It gives more than 150 events taking place between June 8 to July 18, celebrating music, arts, culture and sports
