Customised playground and adventure space outfit HPS is evolving with extra staff and a name change.
Previously operating under the moniker of HPS Middle East, it is now known as HPS Play Company, which was its original name when the company was founded 22 years ago.
Kerris Harvey, sales and marketing manager, said: “We just got the rights back for the name HPS Play Company. HPS Middle East didn’t really say what we are and what we do, so we wanted to reflect that in the name, so people would associate us with what our products are actually about. It’s more to bring us back to our roots and getting back to what we offer.”
Commenting on the firm’s recent growth, she added: “We had a great year last year, we've done some amazing projects, like an adventure concept in the Dubai safari park and zoo, which is due to open soon. We’ve also completed other projects recently in Jordan and Kuwait, too. Things are still expanding locally in the UAE and Kuwait and with Saudi Arabia’s recent changes, there’s much to go at.
“We’re looking to expand into other markets like that and to facilitate this, we’ve recruited extensively, primarily with the appointment of our new business development manager, Wissam Barakat who will be focusing on Saudi and Egypt."
Barakat started in February and has worked extensively in the region in the fountain and effects industry and then in water park design.
