Virtuix, the creator of the Omni Arena virtual reality esports attraction, has installed one into Evo Entertainment’s movie theatre complex in Schertz, Texas, US.

Evo Entertainment adds Omni Arena

The site features three theatres, bowling, dining and arcade games.

“Omni Arena is a perfect addition to the entertainment experience at Evo,” said Mitch Roberts, co-founder and CEO of Evo Entertainment. “The unit has a modern, beautiful aesthetic that aligns with our brand image very well and offers an incredible, unmatched VR experience for our guests.”

“This is our first installation at a movie theatre complex,” said Jan Goetgeluk, founder and CEO of Virtuix. “Omni Arena is an anchor attraction that draws in a new audience who may not be visiting the venue today.” The attraction caters for up to four players at a time. Motion platforms inside the attraction enable players to walk and run around inside video games. Guests can compete for top spots on leaderboards and win a share of a $100,000 esports prize pool sponsored by Virtuix.
