The North American market is a target for Italian manufacturer Eurogames but one that is proving a tough nut to crack, according to sales manager Nicolas De Carlo, speaking at the recent IAAPA show.

“American operators have a tendency to lean towards American manufacturers, which is fine, but we know that once they see the quality of the product and how we can support them despite being in Italy, we’re sure they will be happy with the Eurogames products,” he explained.

The IAAPA show was part of that overall strategy with the company displaying its Baby Car Beetle. Designed with smaller space-conscious locations in mind, the Beetle is aimed at children from three to six years old and is manufactured to all current safety standards. The 12V/45Ah battery keeps it running all day while ether Beetle comes in a variety of hand-painted colours.

The Futurebike was another new product. Part of the Mini Bike range aimed at children up to 12 years old, the Futurebike can run indoors or out and has a battery life of up to six hours. It is one of the products in the range that boasts the unique Turbo Boost function that randomly speeds up the machines during the ride.

On the show itself, De Carlo commented: “We find the European EAS show is generally busier for us as the IAAPA show attendees are much more diverse but it’s still an important event and we’re happy with the response we’ve had.”
