The Smash Park entertainment centre chain, based in Iowa, US, is adding axe throwing to its lineup of activities.
The venues currently feature arcade games, pickleball, corn hole, darts, shuffleboard, bocce ball, foosball, ping pong, and more as well as a wide range of F&B.
Smash Park will now be offering traditional and interactive axe throwing with a choice of 10 different games to play with varying difficulty levels. Sensors provide automatic scoring and players can create avatars and build custom profiles for repeat playing.
Smash Park CEO Monty Lockyear said: “It’s a unique experience that we think will broaden our appeal to a wide range of guests. Our axe throwing offering is a fun group activity that’s really engaging and different - not to mention, a great stress reliever.”
Axe throwing will be available for parties and corporate events and Smash Park plans to host axe-throwing leagues.
Smash Park currently has four locations and has other additional locations in development around the US.
