Empex Watertoys has created a new splash park, called BUDS, at the Shangri-La hotel in Singapore.

In the park, which is designed for children up to the age of 12, soft water cone jets shoot out from a series of columns, creating a labyrinth of water. The Aquaseal and Aquaorc features provide interactive sprays while pirates in tipping vessels turn and drop water. For younger children, there is a specially-designed pirate slide. In addition, watershooters give kids the chance to engage in water gun battles.
"Adding a unique splash park to the hotel greatly increases young family traffic year-round," the company said in a statement. "The parents are able to relax while the children burn off that endless energy without being in deep water.
BUDS, created in conjunction with landscape architect company Playpoint Singapore, forms part of 15 acres of landscaped gardens, which are visible through the hotel's glass walls.
