In the wake of Embed’s release of its new Mobile Wallet, InterGame caught up with three of the company’s senior leadership team on day one of the IAAPA Expo and found out more about what’s been happening with the recently rebranded solution provider.

Chief technology officer Andy Welsh said: “The Mobile Wallet was created from a test we did with one of our clients who tested it, played with it and then we drove hard the data that Apple and Google wanted - it’s an excellent example of the big picture stuff we do. We do this because they are titans of industry that are moving at a pace that we have to work really hard to keep with to make sure that were aligned with what they’re doing."

Chief marketing officer Sara Paz said: “It’s been really positive but we’re not really surprised given how advanced the Mobile Wallet is and that it’s the only product that is Apple and Google compliant, the only non-loyalty and finance brand that sits in their wallets. There’s also no app required, which we think is a barrier to entry.

“We wanted instantaneous plug-and-play for guests to be able to use it in the moment. We focused on the consumer journey and experience and that’s how we arrived at the Mobile Wallet. With it, everybody wins, the operators thrive and we thrive, too.”

The sentiment was echoed by CEO Renee Welsh, who said: “The reaction has been fantastic - clients are excited and have signed up without even seeing it. I’m really happy with how the industry is viewing Embed and where we’re taking the technology.

“Beyond the Mobile Wallet, there are things we’re looking at even with the amount of work we’ve had on with it. We‘ve been in a very fortunate position while developing this tech to be working with Apple and Google and, as a result, we now have access to a lot of the same tech and innovation.

“I can’t say what we're doing but there are more exciting things that we’re looking at to further improve the guest experience and the information and data for the operator too. Watch this space.”
