Embed, provider of debit card systems, is continuing to experience growth in the US market thanks to its latest product, the Color Glo HD.
According to US sales manager Merrik Keller, since its launch at IAAPA in November the Color Glo HD hit the market in late January and has been installed in a number of coastal locations across the US as well as AMF Bowling’s flagship 300 location in New York and indoor FEC Goof Balls in Tennessee.
The Color Glo HD features dual ticket capabilities so operators can choose between e-ticket and paper tickets.
Commenting on the recent Amusement Expo, Keller said: "It has been in line with our expectations and the floor traffic has been quite light in our opinion. Having said that, the quality has been a lot better. Two shows definitely suits the US market and the Bowl Expo held in the summer is becoming increasingly important for us."
And with regard to the US market in general, Keller added: "The growth of the bowling sector is very interesting for us and the theatre/FEC complexes are also showing signs of potential. We are also seeing the re-emergence of the smaller indoor play areas - covering 10,000sq.ft - places like Big Al’s and Incredible Days for instance."
