Spread across two floors and 7000 sqm, it offers several experiences including VR, AR, and traditional rides and coasters.

The Dubai Drone, is one such experience which sees the player travelling in a drone flying over the Dubai Skyline. Dune Bash has participants in a desert jeep attempting to escape from mutant insects and arachnids.

Those with a fear of heights would do well to avoid Burj Drop, which simulates hurtling down the side of the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa. ApeX will hold similar fear putting people on top of a narrow walkway on a skyscraper.

Elsewhere, there is a VR version of successful console game, PayDay 2. The lobby for the ‘game’ is designed like an actual bank, and places players in separate rooms, ensuring that while playing together, they can’t communicate.

The Walking Dead – Outbreak, John Wick Chronicles and The Mummy Prodigium Strike, complete an impressive line up of attractions.

For younger visitors there is an AR petting zoo and a carousel which sees children ride a merry-go-round accompanied by fantasy creatures.

VR Park opened March 1 and experiences are priced between AED15-45 (€3.5-€10).
