The US$11bn mega project in China’s Beijing Daxing International Airport, in which Emaar is a major part, will take ten years to complete.

The UAE company has opened an office in Beijing to market the group’s business activities in China, as a result.
The project will include the development of five sq.km within the 50sq.km that comprises the airport and its environment.
The news was issued by the state news agency WAM and quotes Mohamed Alabbar, chairman of Emaar Properties who said that the project will include residential and leisure facilities.
"This agreement is the beginning of opening new opportunities in the Chinese market, which is the largest in the world," he said.
A memorandum of understanding with Beijing New Aeropolis Holdings to jointly develop the business and tourism complex, includes retail, entertainment offices, hotels, convention facilities, sport, art and lifestyle functions.
