A mini-golf course where players can learn about the environment while having fun, has opened in Wisconsin, US.

Evergreen Miniature Golf, in the town of Fish Creek, has been designed in an eco-sustainable way, and also with signs around the course to give players, especially children, the chance to learn about the environment, reports the greenbaypressgazette.com.
The 18-hole course, which is fully accessible for people of all abilities, has been designed and built by Adventure Golf & Sports.
Putting is similar to on a regular golf course, with obstacles mostly being the rolls and contours of the putting surface, shallow faux "sand traps" and heavier synthetic turf to simulate the rough.
The course has been created with sustainabiilty in mind, with panels under the turf that shape the holes made from recycled plastic and are permeable.
Informational signs and displays on the course tell players about pollinators, water pollution, sustainability, native species and other environmental topics.
The courses also includes a scavenger hunt game for children about pollinators, with the answers found out on the course, and prizes to be won.
Evergreen Miniature Golf is located at 3865 State 42, Fish Creek and is open from 11am to 8pm.
