America’s oldest continuously-operating mini-golf course has been given a new lease of life.

The East Potomac Miniature Golf Course, which is the only outdoor mini-golf course in Washington DC, was recently restored to much of its original 1931 splendour by Adventure Golf & Sports and is set to reopen this summer.
Holes that had been rerouted over the years have been restored to their original specification, while there are noteworthy restorations of course props including the White House, Mount Vernon and the Capitol Building.
AGS removed the existing turf and replaced it with a fresh surface, while it also repaired cracks underneath the playing surface and installed new drop pipes.
Clark Pastick, director of capital projects for the National Links Trust, who was chosen by the National Parks Service to rehabilitate the East Potomac Miniature Golf Course and two others, said: “From the beginning, we felt AGS really understood the historical integrity of the course and our goals. They had a great plan of attack and relevant experience and we are extremely happy to have chosen them for this project.
“They have a great team and have done exemplary work. We cannot wait to reopen the course and welcome our community back to play and experience all it has to offer.”
