The UK coin-op amusement industry will see the East Coast Amusement Show take place for the second time at the Southview Park Hotel in Skegness on May 24 and 25, from 10am to 4pm.

Last year Crown, Electrocoin, PMS and UDC participated and while the number of visitors was below expectations, the level of business was "encouraging," according to UDC’s Michael Green. "This year’s event brings Hazel Electronics on board and I feel by having a well-known spares company at the show, we will now comprehensively cover the market. The Southview Park hotel is ideally located in Skegness and also provides excellent accommodation; there will be refreshments available and the show is an excellent forum to meet friends and chat generally.

"This part of the Lincolnshire coast is perfect for a show as there are so many arcades in the area and it is easy to get to from the north east as well."

Early indications are that the attendance will be well up on last year’s event as the word has spread and, according to Green, the show’s timing is perfect for people who still need to buy new equipment as well as an opportunity to see some new product.
