BACTA chief executive John White discusses next week’s London amusement show.

John White

Name: John White

Position: Chief Executive

Organisation: BACTA

I’ve attended zero EAGs but 12 ATEIs in the 80s and 90s.

The most amusing memory I have of a previous show is… Stuart Greenman bending over and splitting his suit trousers just before we were due to host a bunch of MPs.

At 09:55 on 13th January you’ll find me… Standing eagerly on the BACTA stand.

My main objective for EAG International is… To build awareness of the new-style BACTA, meet as many members as possible and recruit some new ones.

Visitors should visit our stand #30 because… There they will find industry experts willing to help them with any aspect of running their businesses.

What I enjoy most about the show is… Simply meeting people and renewing acquaintances.

I‘ll be attending the first night party… This is surely an unnecessary question – of course I will.

My favourite place for a drink after the show is… Wherever I can get a drink.

My favourite place for a meal after the show is… There are some great curries to be had up the road.

The thing I love about being in London in January is… Being in London.

The think I hate about being in London in January is… Being in London.

During EAG International I like to stay at… I’d like to stay at the Savoy but have to settle for the Novotel.

My advice to first-time visitors to EAG International is… Seriously, plan your visit and wear comfortable shoes.

At the end of the show I will… Go home!
