EAG International gets under way at London’s ExCeL today, with the organisers anticipating another strong year.

EAG opens

The show is pretty evenly divided between amusements and AWPs, reflecting the UK market. It is – as the title suggests – an international event, however, and the list of exhibitors includes a variety of overseas companies.

Last year’s expo was widely praised for the number of visitors it attracted and the breadth of product on display. This year looks set to be no different, particularly as several key AWP suppliers are planning to showcase their latest Category C machines following the recent triennial review of stakes and prizes. It will be interesting to see how manufacturers tackle the concept of a £100 jackpot without a change in stake.

On the amusements side, the ongoing development of Europe’s redemption market is sure to be further strengthened by new product launches from leading names in the business. Although many of these products were unveiled at IAAPA in the US towards the end of last year, EAG marks the first time they will have been shown in Europe.

InterGame will be bringing you news from the show throughout the week.
