An increased size for the European Amusement and Gaming Expo is almost certain, according to the organisers, the UK trade association, BACTA.
The show, to be held January 25-27, 2011, will move from halls S1-S7 along to S2-S9 at the ExCel centre in London and a different configuration of the floorplan will provide more space. "We have taken out the seminar area and put that next door in S1," said the organisers, "and a different layout will provide a greater density of exhibits."
The floorplan will cover 7,500sq.m and there are already plans to extend the floor into the neighbouring S10 hall, which is available to the show along with S11 if needed. "The halls open up into one another, so they can be easily expanded or contracted." It will be possible to add another 4,000sq.m square metres to the show floor.
There has been a considerable amount of interest shown in the exhibition from non-UK companies this year, reports BACTA. The awareness of the exhibition and its location, which was an area of intensive activity for the organisers last year, has paid off and many companies which were not in the show last year are expected to take part in 2011.
