UK-based E-Service opened the doors of its new sales and service centre in Castleford, West Yorkshire, to its customers on March 18.

The new centre will be headed up by new commercial director Nick Walton, who joins Nick and Colin Veitch and Mike Clokie as a shareholder in the business.

The company now provides field service, training and contracted maintenance in the UK for Thomas Automatics, CountR, JCM Ticket2Go and Shufflemaster, among others.

The new facility, said Clokie, will enable the company to be “more responsive” to the requirements of all of its customers and further reduce the turnaround times for spares and components.

"The opening of a northern hub for E-Service has been part of the company’s expansion plans for some time,” he explained. “The timing is appropriate, as the company anticipates a significant increase in demand for its range of products and services as the UK moves to adopt ticket-in, ticket-out as its preferred pay-out solution in gaming operations and prepares for the challenges posed by the release of the new Polymer banknotes and in 2017, the new 12-sided £1 coin.”

In response to the demand for TITO capability, the company showcased JCM’s Ticket2Go system in conjunction with the Thomas Automatics PayStation. TITO tickets printed by a gaming machine can be redeemed at the PayStation, which also has coin and note in-and-out capabilities.

“TITO is the word at the moment,” said E-Service’s Paul Smith. “It’s really kicking off.”

Eurocoin, he explained, distributes the JCM TITO system, while the E-Service engineering team installs the system. “In conjunction with this, we can offer the PayStation, which complements it beautifully.”

The Eurocoin group acquired reporting and analytics services provider Playsafe last year, providing another avenue for the company.

“The Playsafe side gives you all of the audit facilities you can dream of – coins in, coins out, notes in, notes out, tickets in, tickets out, which ticket has gone where, etc.,” said Smith. “What’s quite important for the TITO side – where Playsafe links in – the operator can record their tickets in and tickets out, but it will also record your unredeemed tickets, which is very important.”

Customers might not redeem their tickets one week, affecting an operator’s results the next.

The PayStation and TITO system are suitable for a range of operations, from adult gaming centres and arcades, to bingo clubs and seasonal venues, he added.

“There are so many advantages for the operator to go TITO and more and more are embracing it.”
