According to sources, the recent opening of the Dubai Dolphinarium at Dubai Marine World, could well be a huge step forward in the evolution of Dubai as an 'edutainment' hub.
Abdul Rehman Falaknaz, president of International Expo Consults, organisers of the annual DEAL, said: "Families want more from their recreational pursuits nowadays.
"They want to be thrilled and entertained, but they also want to know that their children are taking something positive from the experience. Facilities such as the new dolphinarium offer the perfect balance of fun and learning."
The US$9m facility, which opened in May, is the first of five elements that make up Dubai Marine World and one of a series of Dubai Municipality initiatives offering the public a range of recreational and edutainment projects.
