The Disneyland resort in California will reopen for business on July 17, the company has announced. It is actually 65 years to the day from when the park first opened.

It is stage three of the state governor’s reopening programme and the Disney site will itself open in stages. First will come the Downtown Disney District on July 9, followed by the park itself on the July 17. The Grand Californian Hotel and Spa and the Paradise Pier Hotel will both open on July 23.
There will, of course, be restrictions. Capacity will be restricted and there will be a new reservation system. All guests will have to reserve their entry in advance. The shows and parades will not happen and there will be no characters touring the park to meet guests.
The company’s Florida parks will reopen on July 11.
