A new disc golf course has opened at a venue in Maine, US, offering a number of original features.

Shady Ridge Disc Golf’s latest project is now officially open in Houlton after more than two years of construction.
Covering 40 acres of land, the course has been designed by two-time world champion disc golfer, Eric McCabe, and takes players through two ridges with changing elevations, elevated baskets, tees and breathtaking views of the surrounding natural beauty.
Players will have the chance to spot local wildlife as they play, including moose, deer and eagles.
Owner Kevin Rogers said: “We wanted to create the most technical course possible on this property, and Eric McCabe did not disappoint.
“Players can expect a challenging and exhilarating round of disc golf, with 6ft by 12ft concrete tee pads, Dynamic Disc Veteran Baskets and the most picturesque scenery northern Maine has to offer.”
