As part of its continued efforts to support the animation industry in China, The State Council recently held an inter-ministerial joint conference covering ‘The Development of the Animation Industry in 2012’.
The conference studied a speech given by Li Changchun, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the CPC, while also considering the changes in the market so far, along with the challenges that lie ahead. The conference also made conclusions on the working performance of the industry in recent years.
Since its inception in 2006, the office of Joint Conference, which is made up of 10 ministries and commissions and is located at the Ministry of Culture, has launched several fruitful activities in order to continuously promote the development of the animation industry in China. All members are encouraged to come together to build a “favourable environment for the industry”, strengthening the cooperation and adapting to meet the demands of the economic development. They are also required to grasp opportunities to build renowned animation brands and promote China as a country strong in animation.
