The franchise-based agreement provides Apparel Group with exclusive rights to develop the Dave and Buster’s brand within the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. The agreement will see the company build seven branded stores over a seven-year period.

Founded in 1999, Apparel Group currently operates around a thousand stores under more than 50 brands across the Middle East and India.

“We have been actively searching for strong partners in targeted international markets and are delighted to be naming Apparel Group as our franchisee for the GCC region,” said Dave and Buster’s CEO Steve King. “Their leadership, operating infrastructure and demonstrated ability to develop brands throughout the Middle East has positioned them as an ideal fit for Dave and Buster’s.”

Apparel Group founder and chairman Nilesh Ved described Dave and Buster’s as a “great addition” to the group’s family of brands.

“We believe the tremendous popularity of the Dave and Buster’s experience that brings together both entertainment and dining elements will resonate with audiences throughout our region.”
