Creative Works hosted its first Amusement 360 event on February 18-20 in Indianapolis, US, since rebranding the programme from its original name, LaserTAG360.

The two and a half day educational conference included new content, partners and presentations to instruct existing and aspiring family entertainment centre operators who attended.

Having started in 2011, the event initially focused on laser tag and has since evolved to include a more 360-degree approach to amusement education.

“Our goal is to provide the best tools and resources to empower startups and existing operators,” said Danny Gruening, vice president of marketing at Creative Works. “The new format of the 360 event allows us to cater to the evolving needs of entertainment operators throughout the industry.”

The wide variety of education and activities has always been one of the main draws for Amusement 360 attendees. The February event covered a diversity of educational topics, including site and attraction selection, operations, hiring, training, marketing, sales and much more.

In addition to learning from presentations, participants made valuable connections during networking breaks, played Creative Works attractions including Hologate Arena, different forms of esports and shared experiences with others during meals and social hours. Participants also visited two Indianapolis FECs, Woodland Bowl and Main Event, where they got the chance to play laser tag and other games, as well as enjoy dinner and social time.

“Don't question it, just go. You won't regret it. The first day you will learn enough to make it worthwhile. Not only that, the networking and fun were invaluable,” said attendee Christie Wall.

Creative Works has two more Amusement 360 events planned for June 8-10 and October 6-8.
